This Policy explains how Bunud uses artificial intelligence technologies and the principles we follow when developing and operating AI-powered features.
Bunud is operated by Blend Lab FZE.
Our goal is to use artificial intelligence to help legal professionals research, analyze, and work more efficiently while protecting data privacy, confidentiality, and maintaining clear boundaries around the capabilities of these technologies.
1. Use of Artificial Intelligence in Bunud
Bunud uses artificial intelligence technologies to provide features that may include:
Answering questions
Searching legal information and sources
Analyzing documents
Summarizing content
Drafting and assisting with written work
Extracting and organizing information
Interacting with documents and data provided by users
Suggesting information or steps that may assist users in their work
The technologies and models used may vary depending on the feature and the nature of the request.
2. Data Processed by AI Features
When you use AI-powered features, we may process the information necessary to perform your request, including:
Questions and instructions you submit
Conversations
Documents or relevant portions of documents
Data you choose to attach to a request
Relevant information retrieved from Bunud
Legal sources used to support a response
Outputs generated by the system
We process only the information reasonably necessary to provide the requested functionality and operate the Service securely and effectively.
3. No Training on Customer Content
We do not use private Customer Content to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models for Bunud, Blend Lab, or any third party.
This includes, for example:
Case data
Client information
Private documents and files
Conversations with the Bunud Assistant
Memoranda and notes
Information entered within an organization's workspace
We may use aggregated or anonymized information to improve the product, provided that such information cannot reasonably identify a specific user, organization, client, or legal matter.
4. AI Technology Providers
Bunud may rely on third-party artificial intelligence technology or infrastructure providers to operate certain features.
When using these services, we aim to:
Send only the minimum data reasonably necessary to perform the request
Use appropriate services and settings to protect Customer Content
Prevent Customer Content from being used to train general-purpose models where such controls are available
Evaluate providers based on privacy, security, and data-processing practices
The technologies and providers used by Bunud may change as the product evolves.
5. Use of Legal Sources
Certain Bunud features may use legal sources, databases, or relevant documents to provide more accurate and context-aware responses.
Where possible, we aim to connect outputs with the sources and information used to generate them and help users review the basis of a response.
Users should nevertheless verify legal texts and sources and confirm that they are current and applicable to the legal matter being considered.
6. Accuracy of Outputs
Artificial intelligence technologies may sometimes produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for a particular context.
We work to reduce these risks through product design and the use of relevant sources and tools, but we cannot guarantee that all outputs will be free from error.
AI-generated outputs should be treated as tools that assist with research, analysis, and professional work, rather than as substitutes for professional review and judgment.
Legal responsibilities relating to the use of AI outputs are addressed in more detail in Bunud's AI Terms of Use.
7. Human Oversight
We believe that important legal and professional decisions should not rely on AI-generated outputs without appropriate human review.
Bunud is designed to assist users in performing their work, not to replace their professional judgment or responsibility for decisions they make.
Users should review outputs, sources, and documents before relying on them in:
Legal memoranda or contracts
Court proceedings
Legal advice
Decisions affecting the rights or obligations of other persons
8. Privacy and Confidentiality
Information processed through Bunud's AI features is handled in accordance with Bunud's Privacy Policy.
Using information with AI features does not make that information public.
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect confidentiality and limit access according to the nature of the Service.
9. Responsible Use
We expect users to use Bunud's AI features lawfully, professionally, and responsibly.
These features must not be used in violation of applicable laws, the rights of others, or Bunud's Acceptable Use Policy.
We may restrict or suspend access to certain AI features where their use threatens the security of the platform or its users, or violates applicable policies.
10. AI Development and Improvement
We continuously evaluate and improve Bunud's AI-powered features with respect to:
Output quality
Search and retrieval accuracy
Reducing errors
Data protection
Security
User experience
Clarity of sources and supporting information
Models, tools, and methods used to operate AI features may be updated as the product and available technologies evolve.
11. Transparency
We aim to make it clear when a feature or output is powered by artificial intelligence, particularly where this is important to understanding the nature of the result.
Where appropriate, we may also provide additional information about the sources, tools, or context used to generate certain outputs.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when the AI technologies used by Bunud, the operation of AI-powered features, or our data and security practices change.
We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page whenever changes are made.
